Blood Moon is having obstacles. She arrives on the island of Some-God-Forsaken-Rock to claim her inheritance, and discovers her grandfather is a golem, her brother probably murdered him, a zombie and pirates are running through her new house, and waltzing hurricanes are about to descend. Lieutenant Eade Behrman isn't having obstacles at all. A woman is alone on an island in a haunted house during a hurricane, and she's shot a pirate. Eade is bound by honor and duty to respond to her plea for help. For a weather man gifted by God, this does not pose a problem. He doesn't understand why the mainland police are so reluctant to let him go. They are both so very wrong. Thrown together on a treasure quest to save the world, Eade and Blood Moon battle all the storms that rage against them.
