Publisher's Synopsis

Eric's Dream reunites the Men of the Octofoil, where they serve at a boys' military academy, outwardly civilians, yet inwardly ready to answer their country's call if she should send them out again in the name of freedom. The students also arrive at the academy with a past. The loner Cadet Major Franklin Westlawn returns for his senior year only to learn that most of the staff he had cultivated to do things his way are now gone, having been replaced by army personnel he resents as being beneath him. His spit-and-polished ways are challenged by a new student, Cadet Corbin O'Riley, who resents having been sent to the military academy by a frustrated Grandfather who is raising him. Junior High Cadet Richard Lee, a former resident in one of the Japanese internment camps during World War Two, blames everyone of non-Japanese descent for all of his troubles, not the least being that of having been sent to the academy. He is teamed up with Cadet Lieutenant Preston Phillip Cavireau, who looks down his nose at everyone who is not military. And then there are the fourth grade cadets, Mark Tyslicki and Reuben Sykes, who simply want to get out of the academy and make all the trouble they can for anyone in their lives. The staff are hard pressed to figure out a way to inspire their students. Only God has the answers. This book can stand alone without books 1-4, as it simply reunites characters from books 1-4 in an entirely new setting. It can be considered a companion book or book #5 to wind up the series.
