Publisher's Synopsis

Three allegorical tales of God's presence with us. God descends to earth as from the penthouse of a hotel to speak to His people personally, and is not welcome. The second tale takes place in New York of perhaps the 1930's. Jehovah visits to "hobnob" with its inhabitants, confuses fashionable ladies and their taxi driver by telling them he sent the snow for the children and is confused himself by unfamiliar slang. Then a young girl who tries to assist this apparently dim-sighted old man looks directly into his face and recognizes him. Appended to that tale, written by Lois Detering, is an encounter between Jesus and His Father by a traditional Christmas tree, a historical and theological perspective that may or may not belong with the story, but that's for the reader to decide. The third tale is told in two ways. Is the boy's life ruined by the witch, or saved by the tramp?
