Publisher's Synopsis

James Stark is an unconventional private banker in Switzerland, looking for and getting some financial and sexual satisfaction, hopping from one hotspot and one bed to another. Philosophical satisfaction looks as far off as ever though. Until, on a timeout in South East Asia, he gets hit with a shot of salvation. He meets Lisa Meier, a lawyer from New York. Freewheeling, egotistical, self-obsessed private banker meets self-obsessed career girl with attitude. Holiday love affairs though, as we know, mostly melt on first contact with reality.

A few months later, fate intervenes when James gets sent to New York by his uber-hedonist, cocaine-fueled asset manager mentor, to work with an impending M&A transaction. A big paycheck is the bribe, an offer he can't refuse. In New York, Lisa of course soon turns up, fate, being twice tempted, obliges.

With so much money flying around, James wants a slice of the cake. A big slice. The opportunity is clear, it's easy, it's tempting. It's also highly illegal. In fact, everything about getting to the beckoning pile of cash is illegal. Not that it matters. The road to freedom is rarely straight, the path clear, nor fortunes built on the straight and narrow. Things go from messy to chaotic, lust to love, greed to cash, from gratuitous sex to happiness.

From Switzerland to New York to the Caribbean and back, the caper takes off. Dealing with a cocaine-fueled asset manager mentor, a billionaire alpha male venture capitalist, a hippie bounty hunter, a psychopath COO out for blood, a bulldog SEC investigator who just won't quit and a supporting cast of thousands, love, finance and getting rich was never more fun.
