Publisher's Synopsis
The three mules named Lucky, Ginger, and Blackjack, must cross over the mountain to deliver toys and medicines to the villagers in the little village on the other side of the mountain. Lucky, the youngest mule only wants to play with his friends. He consistently makes excuses why he cannot complete his share of the work. Ginger, being a kind hearted soul, (like so many of us), accepts his excuses and does his share of the work. In the end Blackjack refuses to accept Lucky's excuses and forces him to do his own work. Ultimately, Lucky becomes an example for other little mules to follow. The other mules are proud of Lucky and more importantly, Lucky is proud of himself.
