Abu Firas al Hamadani is the well known Arab poet who lived in the time of Hamdani Rule by Sayf al Dawlah. He lives also in the time of the well known al Mutanabbi and al Buhturi. He fought for his cousin Sayful Dawlah, but was captured by the roman army. His peoms mostly composed while he was in prison. We selected one of his famous poems: Araka Asi al Dam'. The selection of this book is in the process of Ihyaa al Turath al Arabi fil Mahjar (Revival of Arab Heritage in Diaspora project under: Qasa'id Khalidah Series, sponsored by the Arab American Encyclopedia for the purpose of serving young Arab generations in Diaspora. The Publisher author is an Arab Palestinian scholar. His interest is providing knowledge about Arab Muslim literature and civilization. He authored and published tens of books.
