It was my decision to bring them there, to get them involved. It was my curiosity, something in me driving me to find out more, to learn, to grow, it was my nature, my design. I would mark this day as the beginning of a never ending year, the final day, and the last time I would be exposed to any sense of normalcy. The last time with them, though if I had known, if I had known where the road would truly lead, I cannot say with any shred of truth at heart that another path would have been chosen, and for this reason I cannot find sleep most nights.
