And, his abuse and neglect have left him emotionally and physically in a constant state of alert. Looking at crisis from a Christian perspective, this series has already covered the traditional stages, Fright/flight, Anger/Depression, and is now dealing with issues of, Denial. Although newly met, Maddie and Reggie, act as true friends, confronting Bruin honestly and compassionately with things from his past, forcing him to face many truths.
