Publisher's Synopsis
Irish Roots and French Creoles blended to make up Hutton's Artillery. This celebrated Confederate group saw battle on the waters of the Mississippi from New Orleans to Vicksburg and in the Red River Campaign. Born to an Irish Immigrant, Captain T. H. Hutton led his men in the most famous river battles of Louisiana. Along the Red River, he added more French Creoles and Anglo Saxons to his group as these Louisiana men defended the highways of 19th century warfare.
