Widower Jason Wolfe is a cop in Petaluma, a small town in the forested hills north of San Francisco, and who is considering turning in his badge for the sake of Emmie, his young daughter. But then his dilemma expands a hundred-fold when invaders from the stars decimate Earth's civilizations in a raging holocaust.
