Blue Knight's confidence was building. He proved himself against major adversaries ... The Artiste and Ivan in Chicago and Kadar in New York City. There were some bumps along the way but they added to what the new superhero needed to know. Interference with activities of the petty crime elements was easy. However, there was an additional lesson, one not anticipated. Further, the related experience took place at a most unexpected time and location ... during a vacation in paradise ... Hawaii! Roger/Blue knight had no one to blame but himself for what happened. He caused the incident. The source of his vulnerability was his lack of realization that the very powers that rendered Blue Knight a superhero could trigger dangerous unforeseen situations. It was an important and necessary experience, but it greatly altered his time on the Big Island. Most important was how the matter was handled and in the end, its resolution. Roger/Blue Knight never turned away from a challenge and he behaved no differently during his sojourn to an island known for its tropical splendor and ... LAVA!
