Publisher's Synopsis

This report is intended to be a reference manual for each monitoring station's physical properties (including "legacy" stations that are no longer part of the observation program). Data analyses and graphical depictions are presented to highlight both the similarities in properties and property fluctuations between stations as well as the differences that define each station's unique attributes. With well over a decade of sampling effort in many calendar months, a station-bystation temperature (T) and salinity (S) climatology is computed. Each station's monthly climatology enables a baseline property field from which standard anomalies can be computed and evaluated. The authors do not attempt to incorporate historical Glacier Bay measurements (mostly from the 1960s) in the standard station summaries and analyses however these early data are used to help compare the mean seasonal conditions between Glacier Bay and the greater Gulf of Alaska.
