A full description of the structure of that universe is included in the teaching manual which follows this one titled THE SPIRITUAL STRUCTURE OF THE UNIVERSE FROM GOD TO MAN, ACCORDING TO THE URANTIA BOOK. Once a student has read about the ascension plan, they will have been presented with definite concepts that help them answer important questions in that ascension plan. Then: - They won't need to wonder what the meaning of life is: It is to become perfect like their Father in Heaven is perfect. - They won't need to wonder how to get there: It is to ascend through a series of progressive steps from man to God, as spelled out in the books that these higher beings give us, the most outstanding of which is THE URANTIA BOOK. - They won't need to wonder what will happen to them if they choose to follow this ascension plan toward becoming perfect like God: They will become more and more joyful every step of the way. - They won't need to wonder what will happen to them if they choose NOT to follow this ascension plan toward becoming perfect like God: "The wages of sin is death," and that means the annihilation of their identity from the universe if they choose to follow the dictates of their own will rather than God's will. Extinction of personality is the "death penalty" of the universe for those who choose not to follow the laws of that universe, which are the Laws of God. - They won't need to wonder if they will get a "fair hearing" every step of the way. Here is one way that URANTIA describes the fairness of the universe adjudication system: (447.4) 40:5.19 As to the chances of mortal survival, let it be made forever clear: All souls of every possible phase of mortal existence will survive provided they manifest willingness to cooperate with their indwelling Adjusters and exhibit a desire to find God and to attain divine perfection, even though these desires be but the first faint flickers of the primitive comprehension of that "true light which lights every man who comes into the world." - They won't need to wonder if they will be given every opportunity to choose to do the Will of God. Knowing the exact steps of this ascension plan from man to God can only help each reader make the decision to either choose eternal life by doing the Will of God, or choose the extinction of their personality by choosing not to do the Will of God. These books are designed to help readers make the right decision in order to live life everlasting.
