Emma Lewis is looking forward to summer break. She's excited to spend some quality time with her boyfriend, August, who has been away at college, and to hang out with her friends at the stables and the lake. She'll work as well, but the tips she earns from serving tables at her family's pizza place are always welcome. But just as her summer begins, exactly how she planned at first, she soon learns that August is keeping a secret, and everything she thought she knew about him feels like a lie. Then an accident happens that threatens to tear them apart, and in the end she has to decide if she has it in her to forgive him.
