When Dr. June Kato finds a dead stranger in her traditional Japanese garden, she knows her busy life is going to take a turn. She shoos away flies and feels for a pulse anyway. Knowing nothing can be done for the pretty young woman, she dials those three numbers nobody ever wants to call: 9-1-1 to summon the police. Clad in a beautiful kimono, an antique dagger hanging from the young woman's belly, it was an obvious act of ritual seppuku. Even though June firmly believes the woman committed suicide, the police have other ideas. The investigating detective believes murder has been committed in the doctor's peaceful backyard zen garden. Sifting through the few clues left behind, they point in one direction.
