Trials and tribulations in Texas are in store for a young rancher and his one year old son when his wife disappears. Orders on how she wants a divorce is left with a lawyer. If these orders are not followed the father and grandfather will never see the child again. She leaves the boy with a lady and never tells her his name. Before the child can be rescued by his grandfather he is named Buster by the lady keeping him. The name sticks and Buster carries it through life. He is called upon to save a large ranch for the DeSpain family. His mother is now married to DeSpain and has no idea of who Buster is. Buster thinks that the beautiful young lady is the couple's daughter. Murder, gunfighters, back shooters, land grabbers and a young lady make it a hard task to save the ranch.
