Publisher's Synopsis
The KEHL book is a celebration of Richard Kehl's art covering over 50 years from his days as a student at the Kansas City Art Institute to the present. Inside is a selection of paintings from his early career as an Abstract Expressionist, his fashion drawings and examples of work from the design studios in New York City. What is striking is his diversity; books, games posters, magazine and album cover, photographs, a truly 'innocent eye' recording and creating the events and times that sparked the 1960's and 70's. As his work from Graphic Designer to Visual Poet began to emerge he coined the word "Kehlage," images existing side by side without the overlap that you usually find in collage.
