The Nok Kingdom flourished in the Kaduna region of Nigeria from 1500 B.C. to 500 A.D. This Iron Age civilization ranged from Nigeria to the Sahel region and held influence over much of West Africa for roughly 2000 years. The Nok Kingdom traded with Berbers, early Arabians and others. By all regards, its most tumultuous period was the Era of the Queens. After the death of her husband King Yashua Olafemi, Queen Biola the Great seized power. After slaying the ambitious Prince Efe Balogun in open court, Queen Biola sent her son Prince Kayode Olafemi into hiding and prepared for the coming civil war. Princess Ola, Widow of Prince Efe Balogun and Ruler of Ham Township, gathers allies to seize the Throne of the Nok Kingdom. Among them are the formidable Warrior Princess Hadiza Balogun and the fearsome Magor Clan of the Sahel. Queen Biola must recruit allies of her own if her dynasty is to survive.
