Publisher's Synopsis
A trio robs a bank and makes their getaway on the Virginia section of the Appalachian Trail. The only witness is already hiking the A.T., and when Adam Beeches meets up with the trio at Lost Mountain Shelter, he takes a picture of the Overalls Trio and sends it to his mother, Dorothy Beeches.
Dorothy Approaches Teddy Banks at the Big Stone Gap police department and shows him the picture and tells Teddy she's worried about her son. Teddy agrees to go against Captain Redding's orders, and he starts hiking the A.T. in search of Adam Beeches and the Overalls Trio. Can Teddy get to Adam in time and capture the trio, or is there a bigger plan in place that will lead Teddy to places he never imagined? Over 500 miles on the A.T. will provide the answers.
