Publisher's Synopsis
Emissaries of Archeote is the story of an ancient Native prophecy come to life in the present time. Ben Stormrider and Carmel Crow Woman meet at a biker gathering in the Book Cliffs, Utah; and after falling in love, they decide to travel together to a romantic getaway: a secluded place called Trappers Lake. It is there that they are struck simultaneously, with the vision of a black road, and a murderous vehicle speeding headlong toward them. During this vision, they get a glimpse of a supernal road sign, bearing a strange word from Carmel's Native folktales-Archeote. As a practitioner of her tribe's future seeing rite, Carmel feels it is a warning of danger, and convinces Ben to accompany her to the village of Terra Sublime, where the tribal elders can interpret their simultaneous vision. They learn that the vision is a dark prophecy, marking the arrival of the Emissaries of Archeote-the living beings who dedicate themselves to inciting havoc and destruction. At the time, they are operating in Baghdad, training insurgents, and committing heinous crimes. Across the Middle East, the three emissaries are known as Abraham's Guards-a title of misguided veneration, garnered through their seduction of young martyrs. While hell-bent on igniting the ultimate Jihad, they await the signs of changing times, when their unholy 'father' finally calls on them to begin their trail of fire. Atev: AKA-The Dervish, the covert soldier of the shadow government, has one prime purpose; and that is to protect the United States, and Western Society as a whole. To do this, he must stop Abraham's Guards. After investigating a series of bombings, Atev learns-through an informant-the bizarre identities of the super terrorists. Following the trail, Atev bears witness to the unstoppable resolve of destruction, a desperate operation that brings them across three continents, until it becomes clear . . . the path of terror is bound for North America."
