Publisher's Synopsis
Juanita, Joseph Silver Hawk's mother, kept a journal and it is found. She wrote about her past and the last days she shared with her son. Joseph finds his mother's journal in a box that he brought with him from New York and reads in her own words what she thought of the things he was doing in the city. He continues to try and escape his past, to get along with his twin brother who hates him and struggles to understand his father.
