Obliged to seek shelter from the storm, Lord Ralph Didsbury diverts to a nearby house, closely followed by Lady Winterton and her two granddaughters, Persephone and Aphrodite. But the house appears unoccupied, and when two further travel-weary gentlemen join the party, there is still no sign of the owner. Why is he hiding away?
