"Get the Job Done" is the first story in the "My Mom Always Said" Series. Five different stories sparked by fond memories. The stories are told by the seventh born in a family of ten children. The illustrations are a gift from the eighth born, a younger sister. As she shares her tales, the hope is for the reader to be reminded of all the things their "Mom Always Said." Have you ever noticed when some people talk to you, you can hear them but you aren't listening to a word they are saying? This young girl has six sisters and 3 brothers. A lot of people talking but which one should you listen to? Well this girl is hard headed, strong willed, and very curious. Most of her life lessons are learned the hard way, never listening to anyone. In the end she realizes she should always listen to, "What her mom said."
