It brought in a new era of comedy and introduced a new pair of writers who were to become household names on radio and TV: Frank Muir and Denis Norden. 'Take It From Here' gave us puns galore and the weekly goings-on relating to the marathon engagement between drippy Ron and doting Eth in 'The Glums'. 'Oh, Ron!' and the inevitable response 'Oh, Eth!' became a catchphrase that swept the land. These four superb episodes from 1949 and 1950 - which have never been released before on audio, and have been specially restored for this release - show why 'Take It From Here' was the original 'fast show', and why it deserves to be part of The Golden Age of Comedy.
