A considerable number of his practical works were translated into Dutch by the hand of his much-esteemed friend, Ma Janus koomun, minister of the gospel at Sluis, in Flanders; and, through the medium of these translations, they were advantageously known to the inhabitants of Holland. His large ms. History of the Church still remains in the College Library at Edinburgh; and there are sup posed to be still other mss. Of Mr Brown's in this country; but we cannot asoer tain into whose hands they have come. If the publishers of this work could obtain any information relating to them, means might be found to bring them before the public.
