I met with was, that I had detailed the facts and arguments at too great a length, and that the fpeeches of the Counfel in opening and fumming up the cafes ought to be condenfed into one argument, and the replies almofi entirely omitted -i owe it as a jufi tribute of deference to my friends and as a matter of right to the public, to ftate the reafons which induce me to continue the mode of reportingi at firfi adopted.
