Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from A Descriptive Catalogue of the Manuscripts in the Library of Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge
There is an interesting matter to be noticed in connexion with this last. Among the books left by Archbishop Rotherham to his College are several which the Librarian of the University, Mr F. Jenkinson, has identified as printed books. He has kindly given me a note of a few; and will, I hope, in time complete the list. It is not often, I believe, that the existence of printed books in English monastic or collegiate institutions in the fifteenth century has been so definitely ascertained.
