Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Histories of Tacitus: Books I. And II.; With Introduction and Notes

Mr. Furneaux' edition of the Annals has rendered it unnecessary for me to call special and separate attention - except in the notes - to peculiarities of Tacitean grammar.
