Jump training starts the second week (fig. Tire trainees learn how to exit from an aircraft steer a parachute, and land. They also learn how to roll, let down in timber, and care for jumper equipment. Sev eral hours are spent on the obstacle course to toughen muscles used in jumping, and also in the classroom on a variety of fire control subjects.
