The permanency of free institutions rests upon the principle that there is in human society a perpetually progressive tendency, and that all the political, social and moral revolutions of the world inevitably promote the elevation of humanity. This development of course best traced in the homely but important facts and events of common life which is the duty of associations like this to collect and record.
