Excerpt from Thy Kingdom Come: A Sermon by Henry George in the City Hall, Glasgow, on Sunday, 28th April, 1889

Sunday, a8th April, 1889, Mr. Henry George delivered the following sermon in the City Hall, Glasgow Subject: Thy Kingdom Come. The ball was crowded to suffocation long before the advertised hour. Rev. J. M. Cruickshanks, St. Rollox United Presbyterian Church, assisted by two church choirs, conducted the services. The proceedings began by the rev. Gentleman giving out the Old Hundredth Psalm, which was sung with fine effect by the great assembly. Thereafter he led the meeting in prayer, and read and expounded portions of Scripture from Isaiah, chap. 58, and from the Sermon on the Mount, Matthew.
