Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Rambles Round Rugby
IT is not proposed in this work to give an exhaustive account of any particular places or scenes, but rather to intimate and point out the interesting parts which may be most easily reached. The country round Rugby is rich in historical associations which have greatly in?uenced English history, for within reach the first and the last of Cromwell's battles were fought. The Wars of the Roses were ended here, and, so far as we know, this was one of the most important Roman centres of England.
