Our caravan had no very formidable afpeél. Being in halle to fet out from Cairo. Before the great caravan, which goes always to Suez, immediately after the eparture Of the veltels, we had not more than forty camels, which were loaded with corn and materials for building. Three Of our camels were employed in carrying an anchor. Ihave already had occafton to remark, that carriages are unknown in Egypt and Arabia.
