The committee met at 10 a. In. Present, Messrs. Springer, Sperry, Cox, Cobb of Missouri, Cobb of Alabama, Warner, Black of Georgia, Hall of Missouri, Haugen, and Johnson of Indiana.

The chairman. The meeting this morning is for the purpose of hearing statements of members of the House who have introduced bills which have been referred to this committee; besides other mem bers. Meetings will be held hereafter for the purpose of hearings upon other matters pending before this committee. At the last meeting or the committee, the following resolution, introduced by Mr. Warner, was passed.
