Every boy who desires to become an energetic and efficient man must be taught both of these arts. He must learn to obey, or he will never acquire any proper habits of self-control, and can never become an agreeable or useful associate with others in those great enterprises which can only be undertaken by com binations of men and he can not direct advantageously the labors of others in such departments as may be committed to his charge unless he also knows how to command.
