Nieder meine Knie! Paulo (tritt auf. Amante vorm Bild liegend) Amante! In was für Zuckungen liegt der Junge wieder? (naht sich) Was hast du für schwere Sünden begangen, daß du so innig betst? Horst du nicht? Ha so komm zu dir! (schüttelt ihn) Amante (da er Paulo sieht, fährt er zusammen. Das Bild weg. Nach der Thür.)
