Pendant les trois annees 1828, 1829, 1830, la foule se pressa autour du pro fesseur qui faisait passer et agir sous ses yeux les elements constitutifs de la somete moderne, l'aristocratie feodale, l'eglise, la royaute, les communes. Sous sa diction lumi neuse, leur origine, leurs premieres relations, leur develop pement succesmf en parallele, les modifications introduites dans leurs principes essentiels, apparaissaient clairs et precis.
