To the, sure word of prophecy; and you will not hastily turn aside from hearing a rea son of the hope that is in you, nor refrain from seek ing how you may not only render an answer to every one that asketh of you such a reason, but how you may be also able to withstand gainsayers, and to strengthen your brethren.
Are you weak in the faith? Then the same sure word is well fitted also for you; and you would do well to take heed unto it as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn and the day-star arise in your heart. It leads to no doubtful disputations.
