Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Scotch Marriages, Vol. 3 of 3
The elder Misses Kirkpatrick always spent the greater part of their day, doubtless with a reference to the chilly climate of Scotland, in voluminous shawls and caps. The last were more of a shelter than any bonnets, always excepting Mary and Lily Kirkpatrick's bonnets, which they wore on a corresponding principle.
