Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Life of William Lord Russell: With Some Account of the Times in Which He Lived
The last few years have brought to light several works which illus trate the reign of Charles the Second. The Life of King J ames, great part of which is written by himself; and Evelyn's Memoirs, are the most remarkable. And al though I have been obliged sometimes to lose sight of Lord Russell.
