Through the kindness of Dr. Moberly and of the editor Of the Guardian, I am allowed to print with it, in the form of appendices, a search ing, if at the same time a very indulgent, examination Of the book itself, along with some words of my own in reply. I do not attempt to answer every point that has been raised, or that can be raised, but I have tried to state broadly both agreements and differences of principle.
