No one cares about the church we visited in Lisbon or the military museum in Helsinki. In this book I have attempted to capture some of the weird things that happened to Erin and I during our early 30s gap year. Rather than blow our savings on a house deposit, we decided to wisely invest in a year of summer, traveling west, around the globe. Hence the title of the book. Along the way we were met with many trials and tribulations, many highs and lows, and several hospital visits for rabies treatment. I hope you enjoy reading about our journey and that it encourages you to get out of your daily routine and escape the cubical for your very own adventure.
