Publisher's Synopsis
In Modern Physics: Notes, Problems and Solutions, the primary advances in Twentieth Century physics are examined, including the special and general theories of relativity, and quantum theory - including an examination of the E-P-R paradox, the Bell Inequality and the Aspect Experiment. A chapter on quantum statistics is also included. This is a revision of my earlier 2014 text, whereby I have replaced the 'Parts' (and multiple sub-chapters_ with single, separate chapters- for greater clarity. There are also many more end of chapter problems and selected solutions at the end of the text. A more extensive Mathematical Supplement has also been included featuring new material on vector analysis and differential equations Problems relevant to each of the areas are integrated into the texts of the respective chapters, and over 55 pages of solutions are given.
