While zoos exists in a variety of forms, they all aim to study, breed, and conserve animal species while allowing the general public viewing access and education. This book examines the scope of zoos from large aquariums, to safare park environments and immersion exhibits, to the neighborhoodd petting zoos and wildlife refuge, plus the care of animals in captivity, behavioral enrichment, the misguided, racist, and no longer used practice of human exhibits, regulations and zoo emergency response. Also included are the top zoos of the world like Zoo Basel, Disney's Animal Kingdom, the Toronto Zoo and many others. Project Webster represents a new publishing paradigm, allowing disparate content sources to be curated into cohesive, relevant, and informative books. To date, this content has been curated from Wikipedia articles and images under Creative Commons licensing, although as Project Webster continues to increase in scope and dimension, more licensed and public domain content is being added. We believe books such as this represent a new and exciting lexicon in the sharing of human knowledge.
