Publisher's Synopsis
Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Bible is both a revered religious text and a study of human history. Biblical criticism concerns itself with the investigation of biblical writings, the physical text and the variances in translations. Arguments are postulated against the infallibility of the Bible and criticisms of the historical accuracy of the Bible are cross-referenced against other historical texts as well as accepted anthropological knowledge. Others feel that the King James Version as a translation is the only acceptable true and infallible version of the Bible as it was meant to be interpreted. This book investigates those textual and higher criticisms of the Bible, the internal consistencies (and inconsistencies), errors in translations, and much more. Project Webster represents a new publishing paradigm, allowing disparate content sources to be curated into cohesive, relevant, and informative books. To date, this content has been curated from Wikipedia articles and images under Creative Commons licensing, although as Project Webster continues to increase in scope and dimension, more licensed and public domain content is being added. We believe books such as this represent a new and exciting lexicon in the sharing of human knowledge.
