Mya's Rainbow

Introducing Mya who is a delightful, happy five-year-old little girl and the inspiration for this book. She lives in Florida and especially loves unicorns and rainbows. Mya's Rainbow began as a song. After I wrote the lyrics, my very talented friend added the music and vocals to it and recorded it on a CD. When I heard the song, I fell in love with it and thought it would make a wonderful book. A rainbow stretched across the sky is a rare picture of beautiful colors. When I think about Mya, I think of a rainbow as like a rainbow. She always brightens up our world. In this book, Mya finds her own rainbow made from some of her favorite things that color her world. I am looking forward to writing another book, Mya Explores the Seashore. Writing and illustrating Mya's Rainbow has been the realization of my dream to write a children's book. I hope it will inspire children to see and appreciate the colors that fill and brighten the world around them. It is an amazing journey that I hope will continue. Enjoy!
