Publisher's Synopsis
This book is a collection of illustrations of daily life in 1860. People are walking, talking, working, and taking care of animals. Their life by modern standards appears to be simple, but consider that there is no electricity, no lights, automobiles, motors, or cranes to allow people the power that is now available. The images to be colored are created from illustrations which include areas that are black and gray which cannot be easily colored, but plenty of white spaces exist--relax and enjoy!
