When Gracie Cooper's portrait of a girl unexpectedly steps out of a drawing and into her life, everything she knows is suddenly and irreversibly changed. Weeza is a strange new friend, existing on the fringes of reality while hiding in Gracie's sketchbook. Gracie writes and draws grand adventures for Weeza in the sketchbook, creating worlds where courage, faith, and wit are valuable assets. Soon, Gracie finds herself trapped in one of these adventures, accompanying Weeza on a journey to navigate a dangerous, dragon-infested land. To fail in their quest would mean utter devastation for Weeza and the world inside the sketchbook, but to succeed would reward Gracie with the strength and confidence to conquer the dragons that plague her own life.
