Publisher's Synopsis
Copyright for this material began in 2008 as an Orwellian novel for the year 2020. Some of these events have become true, and others appear to be in the making. The author has made some grammatical and minor changes to the original. The only major change was a wife for the Reverend Elshardix. The year 2020, the United States has sold out: opened her borders, outsourced her jobs, and exported all her industries including agriculture. Inflation is rampant and democracy shrivels under an oligarchy of politically correct extremists. Looking back, a group of financially well-off octogenarians create The Fraternal Order of Dead Americans, a brotherhood to make political statements, to bring attention to the squandered legacy of their parents and relatives who fought in WW II. Their methods are atrocious; why not, they only have a few years left anyway. The year 2020 coincides with 20/20 for perfect vision, and the best vision - hindsight, whence their media given name: The 20/20 Hindsight Club. Dark humor at its best-worst. Not recommended for sensitive and idealistic thinking readers.
