After Jesy's horrible car accident, Nikki rushes to be at her sister's side. When Nikki finds out that Jesy has fallen into a coma, Nikki struggles to come to terms with the reality that Jesy may never wake up. Edward and Veronica are furious while Aubrey is riddled with guilt-she feels responsible for causing Jesy to run out into a snowstorm and drive carelessly into a ditch. Now that Nikki knows what caused Jesy to crash into a whirlwind of despair, she hopes that Jesy awakens from her coma so they can mend their complicated new relationship. While Nikki tries desperately to keep all the drama from jeopardizing her future dreams of college, she endures a lot that will test her strength and break her spirit.
